Earlier this year Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan 2.0, an updated version of MJ’s second signature shoe that came equipped with a full-length Max Air unit. Now JB is set to release the Air Jordan 8.0 in five different colorways for October. Four feature a white leather base with accents in varsity red, varsity royal, university blue and midnight navy. The fifth colorway — and likely the most popular out of the bunch — is styled after the Playoff VIIIs, though the similarities are cursory at best. If the Jordan 2.0 was a refashioning of the original, then the 8.0 represents an extreme makeover. The cross straps have remained, but the shoe is now lower and sleeker, and Flywire has replaced the internal padding that made the AJVIII so bulky. Expect all five colorways to hit store shelves on October 8th, with retail set at $150. More looks follow the jump.
