Although Nike has a legion of top footwear designers able to create totally unique looks from scratch (or synthetic yarn), it’s smart business to build off of something that already stands out as a leader in its own right. In this case, Nike pairs with its surf-tuned subsidiary, Hurley, to build the Nike Free Run+3 NRG sneaker, which infuses Hurley’s award-winning boardshort, the Phantom Fuse, into its overall design. Also known as the Nike Free Run +3 “Hurley” NRG, this shoe arrives with a Free 5.0 Phylite sole and a full black upper with a Graphite print seen along the side panels. Electric yellow accents along the shoe’s Dynamic Fit system, laces, and tongue tag do their part to help you stand out from among the crowd. Just like their last collaboration on the Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, the Free Run+ 3 will arrive in limited numbers at select Nike retailers beginning July 14, which coincides with the launch of Hurley’s latest iteration of their boardshorts, just in time for the U.S. Open of Surfing. via: GQ
