To borrow BMW’s “ultimate driving machine” tagline, the world of exotic cars is getting quite competitive in the last few years. Where there were only 2 staples, Ferrari and Lamborghini, with the occasional British-borne entries of Aston Martin and Jaguar. Now, there is no less than 10 in the same product segment with over half of them from car makers that didn’t exist 20 years ago. Seen its market share slowly devoured by new competitors like PAGANI C9 Huayra and Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini unleashed the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 during this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Followed the lineage of a 1993 fighting bull of the same name from Spain’s Saragossa Arena, the Aventador is just a silver of its predecessor, the Murciélago. With 6.5-liter V12 under the hood, 690-horsepower is able to throttle the 3.500-pound vehicle from 0-60 mph in under 2.9 seconds. But what is speed if there is no control? To resolve this, engineers added the Haldex IV 4WD transmission. To help potential buyers better visualize the agility of this monster, Lamborghini created a near epic scenario as the Aventador LP700-4 out maneuvered everything
