PUMA has embarked on a brand new project this year, the “PUMA ARCHIVE” collaboration project. This project invites Asian designers to put their own spin on PUMA’s archives, and first up is the collaboration with Korean label,
General Idea. General Idea had picked the iconic Disc Blaze and drew inspiration from the youth culture in Korea for their collaboration. The all-over typographic print is a reference to “Rhythmic Fashion”, and it relates to Deulgukhwa’s first album, which is also General Idea designer, Bumsuk Choi’s favorite track. In this capsule collection, aside from two colorways of shoes, there are also matching hooded sweatshirts for those who enjoy a little consistency in their styling. The collection will be available starting September 10 at retailers across Asia.
