An icon of contemporary style, Steven Alan, has breathed some inspiration into a capsule collection of footwear from Nike Sportswear. The collection includes the Air Zoom Magma, Air Zoom Toki, Talache Low, and Air Zoom Lava Dome. It’s an interesting mix of shoes, and a bit outside of the usual Nike collaboration platforms. The Steven Alan inspirations are both structural, and for the most part, subtle. The collection is notable for the strong solid leather tones used; other details include modified lace locks on a few of the shoes, a leather tongue label on the Magma, a side gusset on the Toki, and a D-Ring lace loop on the Talache. Nike gave Steven Alan quite a bit of creative freedom – collaborations rarely involve such structural changes. But the freedom wasn’t abused, and there is nothing to wild or risky here – just an interesting pack, with some really nice upgrades. The shoes are available online and in stores starting January 21st. Check out all four models as interpreted by Steven Alan after the jump.
