Tres Bien Shop – Malmo Store Reopening

Swedish retailer Tres Bien Shop, known worldwide to both cool hunters and fashion savvy shoppers, has reopened its Malmo location following a lengthy renovation. Tres Bien commissioned the architectural firm Arrhov Frick to redesign the building that serves double-duty as both a storefront and company headquarters. In stressing the importance of functionality, the designers set up a photo studio — a key component to the store’s robust online business — that is essentially a mobile room that can be slid to different positions throughout the space. Glass exterior paneling minimizes its obtrusiveness, while the rest of the fixturing is mostly stainless steel and likewise moveable. The intended effect is a sparse, minimalist environment where the merchandise is always the thing that stands out in the room.
