adidas Originals – Fall/Winter 2011 – Footwear Collection | Preview

In the blink of an eye and we are fast approaching the halfway mark of June. What better time than to debut some of the upcoming Fall and Winter footwears from adidas Originals. For men’s, its a focus of the palettes of grey and blue, with both Superstar II and Stan Smith II awash in collegiate athlete-like grey cotton jersey upper, accentuated with blue highlights.  With a successful debut earlier this year, adidas Originals Blue Collection returns with its signature casual footwear, the adidas Originals Blue Chord.  Like the Stan Smith II, the Chord took its inspiration from trainers from classic tennis eras, with intermittent hints of Italian moccasins. Soft leather upper, nubuck trim, and thinner outsole for comfort.  Riding on another hit introduction last season when Jeremy Scott launched the women’s collection for his eponymous Originals By Originals (ObyO) line, the women’s line for general release will be an extension of the former.  Female sneaker heads will have a whole range of adidas Originals Honey to chose, from lace embroidered to polka dot enmeshed, in both highs and lows as well. And all these are just “the tip of an iceberg” as more editions trickle into retailers in August and September
