Even before adiZero Crazy Light begins its massive roll-out to the consuming public, adidas is already planning the propagation of technologies acquired during its development onto other product line. On the “to do list” includes the Forum Mid, the classic basketball sneakers from adidas Originals. By swapping out the original leather upper with a mesh-base construct, the whole shoe is then held together by the new SPRINTWEB. Like an exoskeleton, its network of overlay support, at less than 1mm in thickness, can be both rigid or flexible upon the wearer’s needs. To prevent unwanted lateral rolls, a heel counter is added for motion control. The most technical advanced shoes in the adidas Originals product line to date, the Forum Mid Crazy Light is set to launch in the coming months at all adidas retail locations worldwide
