Granted, the pursuit of excellence generally, though not limited, described the technical aspects of an automobile. Take into account the new MINI Inspired By GOODWOOD Concept, an exercise not in engine displacement or the speed of the car, but in its interior appointments. With consultation by Rolls-Royce Design Division located at the English town of Goodwood, artisans embellished a common 3-door MINI and then some. Both dashboard and door handles are crafted from Walnut Burr, a wood specifically catered to Rolls-Royce interiors, then finished with black Nappa leather. Capacious amount of leather and fabric in the color Cornsilk, another Rolls-Royce exclusive, covered every inch, from center console, instrument panel, door, and Lounge leather seats. Buttons on steering wheel are polished to a shine in Piano Black finishes while a cashmere roof lining and sun visors further elaborate the sense of luxury, followed by a deep-pile lambswool mat that covered much of the interior floor. Other unique attributes include Park Distance Control, onboard computer, and the Harman Kardon powered audio system with Radio MINI Visual Boost. In Rolls-Royce only paint color of Diamond Black, the MINI Inspired By GOODWOOD is driven by a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with Twin Scroll Turbocharger, the same unit used by the new MINI Cooper S. The MINI Inspired By GOODWOOD is set to debut along side its MINI Rocketman sibling at Auto Shanghai 2011 next week.
