The
BMW Z4 GT3 was launched in March 2010, and quickly went on to rack up serious victories on the track, winning the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2010, and the marathon Dubai 24 Hours race in January 2011. Since that race, the race version of the car has been put through punishing testing, with the goal of creating a production version of the supercar, which BMW has just released. The car will be produced in very limited numbers, and retails for just over $450,000. The production version shows some noticeable body changes, for improved aerodynamics and downward force; it also contains a new engine, the same 4.4-liter V8 that powers the M3.
