Nike Zoom Kobe VI – “Sunset Blvd.” – LA Pack

The Nike Zoom Kobe VI (6) is getting the full limited edition/theme/pack treatment, now including an “LA Pack,” which works in various themes from the city – as in this Sunset Boulevard-themed Kobe VI. The TPU snakeskin has proved to be a surprisingly accommodating material, considering the wide variety of themes Nike has tried to express through it, and here it pops quite well in a orange, red, yellow and black gradient. Further contrast is achieved by the bright gold liner and tongue, combined with a black based heel counter and black midsole. Finally, the heel counter and outsole are a translucent aqua, and the insole has a starfish graphic – evoking the famous Los Angeles beaches, from El Matador down to Cabrillo. While the theme here might not be quite as strong as the Black History Month edition we covered last week, it’s got a built-in fanbase in Los Angeles.
